Venice was buzzing when we arrived for Easter weekend—full of art, celebration, and that unmistakable springtime energy. From supporting friends’ innovative sculptural exhibit at la Biennale to lingering over meals and wandering side streets, this post captures a few favorite moments from a memorable few days in Italy’s floating city.
Sardinia surprised me with its unfussy, raw beauty. We spent a long Easter weekend road-tripping around the north, from Alghero to the Maddalena Archipelago, through colorful Bosa, and along the island’s stunning coastline. With its mix of rugged landscapes, charming towns, and simple yet incredible food, Sardinia left a lasting impression.
Florence is of course an iconic and charming destination year round, but the city at Christmas exceeded my expectations. The twinkle lights, Christmas menus, and video mapping displays was the perfect recipe for a truly magical Christmas weekend in Italy.
Not that you need a good excuse to visit one of the most iconic and historically significant cities in the world that also happens to be in a country with amazing food, but we had one: The Rome Marathon. The race was epic and so is the eternal city.
